How the Hawawshi works in the municipal livelihood
Ingredients are components
Baladi bread: two cups of whole grain flour (brown). Two cups of all-purpose white flour, pre-sifted. Half a cup of bran, which you can get from Attarin. A tablespoon of olive oil or vegetable oil. A teaspoon of white sugar. A teaspoon of instant yeast. A teaspoon of table salt. A cup and a half of lukewarm water, or more as needed. Filling Ingredients: Quarter kilo of finely ground veal. 2 sweet green bell peppers, cut into small cubes. A large piece of fresh tomato. 1 large white onion, peeled and finely chopped. A teaspoon of sweet paprika. A quarter of a teaspoon of cumin. ¼ teaspoon cinnamon. Half a teaspoon of meat seasoning. A teaspoon of table salt. ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. A teaspoon of chili, or less, according to desire and taste. 2 cloves of garlic, crushed, or finely crushed. How to prepare Baladi bread: Dissolve the amount of instant yeast with sugar in half a cup of lukewarm water, and cover the cup for a period of not less than ten minutes. Mix the types of flour with the bran in a suitable bowl and add the amount of salt to it. Make a hole in the dry ingredients, pour the yeast mixture over it, then add the amount of oil. Start kneading, using the hand, for a period of not less than ten minutes, in order to obtain a coherent dough. If the dough is not soft, and it is constantly crumbling, add the extra amount of water, and the kneading process is continued. Wipe a bowl with an amount of oil, put the dough in it, and then leave it for a period of not less than two hours, until it ferments and doubles in size, taking care that the bowl is covered with a piece of cloth or nylon. Cut the dough into circular disks of equal size. Roll out the dough rolls using a rolling pin to get a loaf of bread. Leave the dough loaves for ten minutes until they relax, and rub a little oil on the face. Bread loaves are baked in the oven at a high temperature, for a period of no more than a quarter of an hour, until they are browned and softened. Cover ripe loaves with a piece of clean cloth, until they cool down, before starting to use them as anniversaries. How to make the filling: The amount of onion and minced meat is sautéed, in addition to the salt and spices, then the amount of vegetables are added to it, and left on the stove until all the ingredients are done. Baladi bread loaves are opened, and stuffed with the prepared filling. Grease the loaves with a little oil, and return to the oven until they are roasted, and thus the hawawshi is ready to be served.
